Welcome to OneTap Habit ("we," "our," or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App works. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to data and privacy.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect ZERO personal information.
OneTap Habit is designed with privacy as the foundation. We do not:
- Collect your name, email, or phone number
- Track your location
- Access your contacts
- Request access to your photos or camera
- Connect to social media accounts
- Create user accounts or profiles
Habit Data
The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Habit Details: Habit name, emoji, and color preferences
- Habit Logs: Timestamps of when you log your habits
- Statistics: Daily and weekly counts calculated from your logs
- Notification Settings: Your preferred reminder time and notification preferences
Important: All of this data is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device and we cannot access it.
Usage Analytics
We do NOT use any analytics services.
We do not track:
- How often you open the app
- Which features you use
- How long you use the app
- Any crash or error reports
How We Use Your Information
Since we don't collect any information, we don't use it for anything. All data processing happens entirely on your device:
- Habit Tracking: Your logs are stored locally to calculate daily and weekly statistics
- Live Activities: Your habit progress is displayed on your Lock Screen using iOS Live Activities - this data never leaves your device
- Notifications: Local notifications are scheduled on your device based on your reminder settings
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We NEVER share your data because we don't have access to it.
Your habit data:
- Is not transmitted to our servers (we don't have servers)
- Is not shared with third parties
- Is not used for advertising or marketing
- Is not sold or rented to anyone
Data Security
Your data is protected by:
- Local Storage: All data is stored using Apple's secure SwiftData framework on your device
- Device Encryption: Protected by your iPhone's built-in encryption and security features
- No Cloud Sync: Data is not synced to iCloud or any cloud service (may be added as an opt-in feature in future versions)
- iOS Security: Protected by iOS's app sandboxing - other apps cannot access OneTap Habit's data
Your Rights and Choices
You have complete control over your data:
- View Your Data: All your habit data is visible within the app
- Delete Habit Logs: Delete individual habit logs or clear all history from the Settings screen
- Delete Habits: Remove habits and all associated logs at any time
- Uninstall: Deleting the app permanently removes ALL your data from your device
- Notifications: Control notification permissions through iOS Settings
Children's Privacy
OneTap Habit is rated 4+ and does not collect any personal information from users of any age. The App is safe for children to use under parental guidance.
Permissions
The App may request the following iOS permissions:
- Notifications: To send you daily reminders to log your habits (optional)
- Live Activities: To display your habit progress on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (optional)
All permissions are optional and you can revoke them at any time through iOS Settings.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
OneTap Habit offers a Pro subscription to unlock unlimited habits. All subscription processing is handled by Apple through the App Store:
- We do not collect or store your payment information
- Apple processes all payments according to their Privacy Policy
- Your subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework
- We only know whether you have an active Pro subscription - no other payment details
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Displaying an in-app notification about the changes
- Requiring you to review and accept the updated policy before continuing to use the App
Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
We do NOT use any third-party services.
OneTap Habit does not integrate with:
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media platforms
- Cloud storage services
- Crash reporting services
The only third-party interaction is with Apple's App Store for subscription management, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
International Users
OneTap Habit is available worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to servers, there are no international data transfer concerns. Your data stays on your device regardless of your location.
Legal Compliance
We comply with:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) - EU users
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) - California users
- COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) - US users under 13
Compliance is straightforward because we don't collect, process, or store any personal data on external servers.
Data Retention
Your habit data is retained:
- On Your Device: Until you manually delete it or uninstall the app
- Our Servers: We have no servers, so nothing is retained externally
