MalaWatch does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your practice stays entirely on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes how MalaWatch ("we", "the app") handles information when you use the MalaWatch iOS and Apple Watch application.
MalaWatch collects no personal information whatsoever. Specifically, we do not collect:
There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no user profiles.
All app data — your bead count, round progress, selected bead theme, and bead goal — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
MalaWatch works entirely offline. The app never makes network requests. No data is sent to any server at any time.
MalaWatch uses Apple's AVSpeechSynthesizer framework to speak chant syllables aloud in Follow mode. This technology runs entirely on your device — no audio is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
The current version of MalaWatch does not offer In-App Purchases, subscriptions, or paid unlocks.
MalaWatch contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or any other external frameworks. The app uses only Apple's first-party frameworks.
MalaWatch is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page with a new "Last updated" date. As a fully offline app with no data collection, significant changes are unlikely.
